Blogging

I'm sure this is no great discovery for most, but it's new to me... if I can get my head around the risks of potentially losing access to this data herein, whether a temporary outage or a permanent loss, and the fact of it being public, or if I change the settings then at least discoverable... then this blogging lark makes for a jolly convenient and searchable filing system for notes. Not for filing actual working documents, but for notes of information that one thinks or hopes may be relevant at a later date. Perhaps it will replace some of my ubiquitous piles of paper, a great many of which originate as printouts. Perhaps too I shall create some distinct blogs for distinct note-taking purposes. But for now, as I learn to use this medium, everything continues to flow into just the one blog.
